This recipe makes 6 soft burger buns using a buttery brioche dough!
The whole recipe can be done in just about 2 hours — quick and easy!
Here are the ingredients you'll need to make these homemade burger buns!
flour | whole milk | honey egg | yeast | salt | butter
Shape the dough into a ball, cover and let rise somewhere warm for 1 hour.
Deflate the dough and divide it into 6 equal pieces.
Shape each piece of dough into a ball by folding the edges in to create a smooth top with the seam underneath.
You can also "knead" the dough into a smooth ball with the heel of your hand..
Cover and let the dough balls rest for 10 minutes, then give them a quick scoot to tighten them up.
Arrange the dough balls on a lined sheet pan. Cover with plastic wrap, then place a sheet pan on top to weigh them down as they rise.
Brush the burger buns with an egg wash and top with sesame seeds.
Score with an X on top of each burger bun, then bake.
