Boxed pasta is cooked risotto-style in this easy one pan recipe!
The pasta absorbs a ton of garlic flavor as it cooks, and the starchy pasta water combines beautifully with parmesan cheese to make a silky sauce!
Here are the seven ingredients you'll need to make this recipe!
chicken breast / parmesan cheese / garlic boxed pasta / salt & pepper / parsley
Cook butterflied chicken breast 3-5 minutes per side, then remove to a cutting board to rest.

Without cleaning out the pan, reduce the heat and add more oil. Cook garlic about 30 seconds, just to enough to soften.
Deglaze the pan with a splash of water and scrape the bottom clean. Stir in the dry pasta.
Add just enough water to almost cover the pasta. Bring to a boil and keep stirring, cooking until the pasta reaches al dente doneness.
Add small amounts of water as needed to keep the pan from drying out.
When the pasta is cooked through and just enough water to coat the bottom of the pan remains, add the parmesan cheese and stir until it melts.
Slice the chicken and add it back to the pan along with minced parsley. Stir well. It's ready to serve!
That's it! It's literally so easy.
