How to Make Ciabatta Garlic Bread

How to Make Ciabatta Garlic Bread

This cheesy extra garlicky bread uses airy, crusty ciabatta bread as a base.

It's super easy to make and a great side dish for soaking up red sauce!

Here's what you'll need to make it!

Make garlic paste

Smash the garlic with the flat side of the knife. Sprinkle with salt and rough chop. Smear the garlic against the cutting board. Then mince it and repeat until you have a paste.

1

Slice the bread

Cut a loaf of ciabatta into 1 inch thick slices.

2

Spread with butter

Spread each slice of bread with a very thin layer of softened butter, making sure to go all the way to the edges.

3

Spread with garlic paste

Spread a very thin layer of garlic paste on top of the butter.

4

Toast the garlic

Pop the ciabatta slices under the broiler in your toaster oven or microwave until the garlic just starts to brown slightly.

5

Add cheese

Top each slice with finely grated parmesan cheese followed by a layer of finely grated low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese.

6

Toast the cheese

Pop the cheesy garlic bread back under the broiler until bubbly and browned.

7

Top with fresh herbs

Top with fresh minced herbs like basil, oregano, or parsely.

8

Serve warm!
