This ciabatta bread is super soft and squishy — perfect for sandwiches or cutting into pull apart dinner rolls!
Here are the ingredients you'll need to make this ciabatta bread!
flour | olive oil water | salt | yeast
Whisk together the dry ingredients, then add water and olive oil and mix to form a sticky, wet dough.
The dough will rise for 2 hours total. During the first hour, you'll do a set of coil folds every 15 minutes.
The dough will be much smoother, stronger, and stretchier on the last set of folds.
After the last set of folds, cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour undisturbed.
Turn the dough onto a well floured counter top and stretch into a large rectangle shape.
Cut the ciabatta dough into loaves or rolls.
If you want to cut pull apart dinner rolls or bake one large loaf, you'll want to do this on the sheet pan you'll bake them on.
Cover the loaves and let them rest for 30 minutes while the oven preheats. Then transfer them to the sheet pan to bake.
Bake for 17-19 minutes until lightly golden brown around the edges.
The ciabatta will be hard when it first comes out of the oven but will become soft and squishy as it cools!
