Fresh Roasted Salsa Roja

Fresh Roasted Salsa Roja

This easy homemade salsa roja comes together quickly in a food processor.

It's so good as a dip for chips, but also great as a sauce with eggs, steak, and so much more!

Here are the ingredients you'll need to make this salsa roja!

Peel and quarter the onions, and prep the tomatoes with a small X on the bottom for steam to escape.

Core and halve the peppers. Arrange them cut side down on a foil lined sheet pan.

Broil until the skin is wrinkled and slightly charred.

(You can also do this on the grill if you prefer!)

Transfer the vegetables to the bowl of a food processor.

Add garlic cloves and salt to the bowl.

Run the food processor until the salsa is nice and smooth.

Taste test with a chip and adjust seasoning as needed.

Serve hot or cold. Enjoy!
