Homemade Egg Bagels

These chewy golden yellow egg bagels are so easy to make at home!

Here are the ingredients you'll need!

Combine flour, brown sugar, salt, and yeast.

Whisk together 3 whole eggs and 3 egg yolks.

Add eggs and water to the bowl and mix on low speed with dough hook until messy dough forms.

Increase speed and knead 3-5 mins until smooth.

Shape dough into a ball, cover, and rest for 1 hour.

Gently deflate the dough, rest 10 more minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 pieces. Shape into balls, rest 10 minutes.

Use a floured thumb to poke through the bottom of each dough ball. Squeeze to stretch them open.

Cover with a damp paper towel and let rest while you boil the water.

Boil the bagels for 1 minute on each side.

Brush with egg wash and add any desired toppings. Bake at 420F for 20 minutes.
